Walking studentsYes! You can walk your student to the classroom their first day. You just need your car tag that you will get at orientation.

MealsThe first week of school we have many helpers in the lunchroom to make sure students can get everything open.Over the summer it would be helpful to teach them how to put in their straws in their juice box and open various items.

AccidentsIt is common for students to have accidents at the beginning of school. Even if your student has not had an accident in a while, it is a good idea to send a change of clothes. Often students do not want to miss any of the exciting things going on, so they wait until the last minute.
|
DismissalWe want to make sure that dismissal is as stress free as possible. At orientation we will ask that you let us know how your student is getting home the first week. If at all possible, do not change how your student goes home the first week. There is a support team that visits every room during the first day to make sure we know how your student gets home.

BUssing
We start in July requesting bussing for all of our students who have all their enrollment paperwork complete. We do this so that if you decide to have your student ride a bus, it will be ready to go the first day of school. However, this is not a guarantee that a bus seat will be available for new kindergarteners. If your student does not have a bus at orientation, it is very unlikely that they will have one the first day of school. If this is the case, you need to plan on your student being a car rider until a bus is available. Kristin or Jennifer in the front office will be the best people to reach out to for information.
